Congratulations to Eric Liller, whose photo “Old Moss Back Fence” won our fall photography contest:
From the photographer:
The fence can be found a short trip off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd County, Virginia. These rail fences are becoming a thing of times past with metal fence types taking over. I only wish the fence could tell its story. A story of history from horse and wagon to seeing jets zoom across the sky. Then gazing at deer jumping over to feed in the pasture as bugs begin nesting in its crevices. To measuring the depth of snow as it is freshly laid and enjoying the springtime wildflowers bounding from the earth looking for the suns warmth. Just a fine time to reminisce and enjoy the nostalgia of the old fence.
Stay tuned for the winners of our other contests!
